Closing in on summer

As we are getting closer to summarizing Q1 and Q2 and moving on to summer, I just want to take the opportunity to give my appreciation to:

The inRiver development team for a great job with the platform and the releases, and looking forward to release inRiver 5.2.1 and 5.3 with greater performance and more support for our customers cross channel strategy.

To all our partners doing a fantastic job implementing our customers and enabling their cross-channel approach.

Thank you and great work!

I want to leave you with a couple of great quotes regarding simplicity and focus, which are important for us when building software here at inRiver and for you when implementing inRiver PIM.

Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.

A complex system that works in invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked...a complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patch to work. You have to start over with a working simple system.

Lindex dresses for international success with inRiver PIM!

Lindex, the European fashion retail company, has selected inRiver’s Product Information Management (PIM) software as their strategic tool for supporting cross-channel commerce and international expansion.

With over 470 stores in Europe and the Middle East and websites and web shops in several languages, Lindex needed capable software that could handle a large product range in a flexible way, streamlining their product marketing process. inRiver PIM’s clear market and fashion industry focus and cross-channel capability were crucial factors in Lindex’s choice of PIM software. inRiver’s PIM software also fits well into Lindex’s IT landscape.

Report from IRCE

Every year the IRCE serves as the annual home to the largest display anywhere of eCommerce technology and services. This year there were over 600 exhibitors in a show that represented 90 percent of the eCommerce solutions market. In addition, more that 200 speakers including Al Gore and Hiroshi Mikitani were giving seminars about everything there is to know about eCommerce. IRCE is held at McCormick Place in Chicago, which is North America’s biggest convention center.

Team inRiver was there in booth 1671 to meet customers and partners and to get insight into what's going on in the industry as a whole. We met a lot of potential customers and partners from around the world, and had a great time in the wonderful city of Chicago. Our joint conclusion was that product information has never been more important and that the market is really focusing on how to achieve better sales and services across channels with PIM. All in all another success for our Chicago office!
